Air Max 270,The Road Warrior scavenges innovation from many different places: basketball, training, running, outdoor apparel. The goal was to build a piece of footwear that can thrive in urban environments. All of these performance innovations live in harmony, providing comfort, protection and durability. The Road Warrior references the pioneering design of the 2-hour-marathon-breaking Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next% and the energy return of the Nike Air Zoom BB NXT. The open floating heel borrows from early Nike Shox prototypes, but shifts from the "boing boing" effect of the pillars to incorporate double-stacked Zoom pods and double underfoot plates.
First revealed by A-COLD-WALL* founder Samuel Ross, the Nike Shoes “Clear Jade” adds an intricate color scheme to the shoe’s unique build. Flexible knit uppers are dressed in everything from jade to volt to navy blue and plum hues. All are woven together so that none overpower the others, and the forefoot is split with a Tabi toe at the forefoot — itself rimmed with hi-vis reflective detailing. This colorful assemblage is covered by a black ski-boot like strap fit system, with large heel tabs providing easy entry/removal.Insoles join in on the action with a duo of divergent prints, and volt green EVA foam footbeds provide a brief moment of normalcy before the shoe’s signature detail: its cushioning setup. A wide duo of Pebax plates in the heel pull inspiration from Nike Shox, and two Zoom Air units are stacked directly below the arch. Two more Zoom units are present in the forefoot, providing a bouncy feel inspired by Nike Running‘s Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%. Finally, wildly-patterned outsoles feature a tread pattern that’s half Waffle Racer and half monster truck tire.
Made up of ‘British Khaki’, ‘Sail’, and ‘Bright Crimson’, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 British Khaki is built with suede uppers and crimson branding. The translucent tongues, heel tabs, and outsoles (with co-branding) give the design more aesthetic depth, while the stash pocket (that appears on the side of the shoe’s collars) is perhaps the most salient aspect of the AJ6. Other details like “Cactus Jack” branding on the heel of the right foot, subtle perforations along the body and an understated two-toned midsole round off the shoe’s design.
